The Gerber 600 has Bluntnose pliers, Tungsten carbide insert cutters, wire crimper, fine edge knife, serrated knife, cross point screwdriver, small, medium and big flat blade screwdrivers, lanyard ring, can opener, bottle opener, file, and ruler.

I ordered a second hand one from eBay for around $25 shipped. I chose the black needle nose pliers version.

Once the Gerber arrived, I that will check it out then toss it inside my backpack so it might be there when I was hiking or camping. You know what happened? It never made it to the backpack. It was too darned convenient. I found myself grabbing it for each task that showed up.

The 600 is merely over 4.25 inches when closed and comes with a pliers (needle-nose or regular), wire cutters (or wire strippers or blasting cap doo-hickey, with respect to the type you purchase) standard knife blade, a serrated knife blade, 3 standard screwdrivers, a Phillips, a 2 sided file, a can opener, a bottle opener, along with a lanyard hole. A nice bonus feature will be the imperial and metric rulers around the handles with the tool itself. It's got a pleasant weight into it Basin and Range La and you can tell this is a solid, good quality tool that's built to last.

The pliers possess a strong secure grip, the wire cutters are replaceable, just in case you wear out the blades. I don't see them wearing out soon though Sleeping Bag because they appear to be carbide steel. I also like that the tools face inward with all the pliers so your smooth side with the handles touch both your hands when gripping.

The knife blade holds a great sharp edge and all the tools lock into place for safety. They will stay open and soon you want them to shut, thereby sparing those fingers you've got become so attached to.

The can opener and bottle opener are expected. The file is here in handy several times to remove sharp edges from things I was trying out. I haven't used the serrated blade yet, yet it's made from the same steel because straight edged knife so I have zero worries. The only additiona I'd like to have in this tool would be a saw as well as perhaps scissors.

This tool was dependable and convenient that I knew it will never be stored away with my camping gear and forgotten about. This is can be used and abused not stored away for safe keeping!

I liked this thing a great deal that I just ordered and received my second one, a chrome steel version with standard pliers. I bought this place to stick in my backpack for camping and hiking, but I think this will be kept within my car instead.

To summarize this review: This Basin and Range La Sal Sleeping Bag: 0 Degree Down Reviews multi-tool is versatile and replaces carrying around a full toolbox. It Basin and Range La has already misplaced my Swiss Army knife (the Hiker version) as my main daily carry tool. It is rugged and dependable. If I could only choose one tool or knife to own with me, this would be the one!

This may also be my "Go To" gift for my girlfriends birthdays and special occasions, while they will appreciate it's usefulness for years and years.
