Everything seemed excellent but I got 1/2 size too big. I needed to exchange them for the correct size. VERY comfortable. I used to be of the old way of contemplating boots had to be at least in part pointed with a high again. But when I tried these on they were so much more comfortable that this above I think it's time for a change. likeGSI Outdoors Salt and Pepper Shaker Best Price!

I really like the notion of freedom camping what your location is not restricted to a designated campground.

Freedom camping allows you to go to remote locations to really enjoy nature close up.

Camping doesn't necessarily have to be in a tent, although that's my favorite method to camp.

At times the climate or locality, or perhaps your time frame don't lend themselves well to tenting.

Sometimes there's someone you'll love to take camping, nonetheless they require a more civilized setup.

In that case I use my van for camping trips. I can park up where I want and I usually find a spot beside a river or lake to shell out the night.

The camper van is wonderful for all climate conditions and permits you to move about quickly.

There was obviously a time when I thought real camping was done in a very tent and other things was not proper camping whatsoever, but a few winter trips changed my thoughts.

I are now living in New Zealand so we have some quite remote places, especially throughout the South Island.

On a winter trip I had to pitch my tent in pouring rain. I got soaking wet and while it was fun during the warm months, this was winter and I became dangerously cold.

Camp Kitchen Fortunately it was to be just an overnight stay, so I was near to my car. Although I couldn't dry my clothes I could use the car heater to warm-up.

It has not been pleasant being wet, but I felt the sound from the rain for the tent in the night made up for this.

There is definitely nothing to look when compared with rain on the tent - provided you might be dry and in your sleeping bag, of course,

On that same trip I took an inaccurate turn late inside the day and found themselves at a lake after hrs negotiating a 4wd track in my car. It was 4wd, however some of the ruts might have swallowed it down.

Rather than try and negotiate the track during the night, I decided to camp there for the night time and so erected my tent.

I have an excellent down sleeping bag, but took the precaution of wearing all my clothes and covering myself using a down duvet for added warmth. With my beanie (woolen knitted hat) on my small head I stopped to sleep.

I woke a few times within the pitch black night with a pain within my hand. I had poked my hand out with the bag also it was cold, seriously cold. The rest of my body wasn't too bad and two pairs of socks kept my feet warm.

When dawn broke I awoke to feel strangely heavy-headed. There was obviously a weight on my own head. I reached up for my beanie to take out it. It felt strange. It was hard and incredibly cold.

I took them back and discovered it was pure white and frosted. It stood up when I placed it about the floor in the tent. It was frozen solid.

I opened the tent and peered outside to determine a wilderness of whiteness. This was the hardest frost I had ever seen. The Southerly storm of the previous day had cleared to leave a cloudless sky and bitter cold.

The grass crunched under my feet as I looked back on a tent almost pure white and searching like it was covered inside a fur of sparkling crystals. Everything about was the same. The car was encrusted, a fence wires, the trees, the GSI Outdoors Salt grass and my water bottle bulged looking at the frozen contents.

I decided breakfast could be nice and set about to remove the stove in the trunk (we call it the boot) of my car. It was frozen shut. I couldn't even squeeze key inside lock. Fortunately the keys had been inside my pocket and were just warm enough to free the lock.

I figured I could melt some ice and make some coffee.

It was cold the gas may not even come out from the canister. It was obviously a new one I had put in the previous day, but not a sound from this and my match just flickered uselessly.

By now I was getting really cold. The only thing would have been to start the automobile. I drew a breath and turned the key. It turned over slowly, slowly and fired. It stopped.

Again I tried and it turned even slower, over once, twice and about the third time it sprang your.

It would take a while to get warmth from that so I jumped around in the cloud of steam from your exhaust trying to heat up.

I checked GSI Outdoors Salt and Pepper Shaker Best Price out the tent and looked all around. I just wanted to depart. The ground was frozen and also the tent pegs were hard to get out, but I managed to have it down. I shook what I could with the ice through the fly and bundled it into the auto. I like freedom camping, however, there is a difference between freedom and freezing.

That was what set me to thinking of getting a camper van.

I love to travel at any time in the year and also prefer the winter because there's no one else about.

I sometimes make use of the tent and I always get it with me, but I usually sleep inside van nowadays. GSI Outdoors Salt However I still think the best place to fall asleep is in a tent, particularly if its raining - provided its fine within the morning. I just hate packing up a wet tent.

I may take a bit more gear with me and that suits because I like camping equipment. I am always buying some kind of new cool camping gear that I probably do not require, but I enjoy anyway.

It remains freedom camping, but perhaps not for your purist, but permit them to freeze themselves while I just get out of bed, climb over into the driver's seat and go. Luxury.

I still like a basic create. with just a small cooler, a stove, the fold down bed and some food.

I have an overabundance recovery gear than camping gear, just in case I get stuck somewhere remote. So far so excellent.

Can you combine freedom camping with many creature comforts?

Reckon so!
